Diabetes is a condition when the pancreas is no longer able to make insulin, or when the body cannot make good use of the insulin it produces.


Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas, that acts like a key to let glucose from the food we eat pass from the blood stream into the cells in the body to produce energy. All carbohydrate foods are broken down into glucose in the blood. Not being able to produce insulin or use it effectively leads to raised glucose levels in the blood (known as hyperglycaemia). 

Hence Diabetes is not a disease but a deregulation of glucose metabolism leading to high blood glucose levels. Over the long-term high glucose levels are associated with damage to the body and failure of various organs and tissues where it is converted into a disease. This happens due to lack of awareness about this condition. We in Rudratsha Diabetes Center are more committed towards creating awareness about this and light a ray of hope in the darkness of diabetes. Every diabetic individual has to live a healthy and complete life. We teach them to discover their diabetes.
